Altar Boy Today is Priest Tomorrow

Archbishop Sheen in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, at the Church of the Sacred Heart.

Know him.  Read him.  He is our American saint.  May God be praised for this holy vocation.

Once upon a time I had a JFK layover and took a cab to St. Patrick's Cathedral to pray before the tomb of Francis Cardinal Spellman, located underneath the sanctuary.  Alone I entered the crypt under the main altar and stood in utter awe before the tombs of the Cardinal Archbishops of the New York See: it was a moment I will never forget.  There I also noticed the tomb of this twentieth century giant, Fulton Sheen.
