Many thanks to Dottore Spinelli and GAR (Gruppo Archeologico Romano sez. S. Marinella)

Yes, it is who you know.  Here we are in an old Etruscan town along the seashore, Cosa, in Tuscany last Sunday (the old basilica can be seen behind us).

Many thanks to this dear friend, Professor Spinelli.  The first time I met him we were with the woman whose father invented the radio, Principessa Elettra Marconi.  Elettra had just finished saying how she had been baptized in 1930 by the future Pope Pius XII and moments later Livio said in English with a smile: "My uncle was the gardener of Pope Pius XII."  From that moment on, we were good friends.

Professor Spinelli has a gift: he is an organizer.  He organizes lots of events and trips with the local section of GAR.  His interest is history and religion and he has traveled the world.  Friendship with him opened many doors for me and the Lord has been kind.  With him and the other mostly older members of the local section of GAR we have seen lots of the beauty of Lazio north of Rome, and parts of Tuscany with day trips to Cerveteri, Tarquinia, Civitavecchia, Allumiere, Canino, Cosa, Onano, Viterbo, Santa Severa, Ostia (Isola Sacra), Vulci, Ansedonia, Orbetello, Monte Argentario, Porto Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole, etc.  These trips are always free and lunch is always in the countryside at a quiet agriturismo spot.

Thank You, Lord, and thank you, Professor!
