30th Anniversary of the Passing of Archbishop F.J. Sheen

On December 9th please join us in worldwide prayer and Masses to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the passing of Bishop Sheen.

Over 1,000 such Masses have already been organized for this day.  The big Mass will be at St. Patricks Cathedral NYC at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Archbishop Sheen, born in El Paso, Illinois, is our American saint.

Thanks to his oratory and writing, many of us are an eternal debtor for the way he influenced our lives through his study and prayer.

"You have written and spoken well of the Lord Jesus.  You are a loyal son of the Church."

-Pope John Paul II to Archbishop Sheen on October 2, 1979.

Motto: Da Per Matrem Me Venire (Grant that I may come to Thee through Mary).

  1. Interesting that he died on the feast of the Conception of the Theotokos by St. Anna, considering how often he celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Uniontown Pilgrimage. May his memory be eternal. Vicnaja jim pamjat.
