Relics on Ebay

Faithful Catholics ought to buy up these constant Ebay relics and preserve them in private family collections:

  1. I knew (maybe I'me wrong) that it is forbidden for Catholics to buy Relics...

  4. To commerce with relics is sinful. To rescue them is not only not forbidden but meritorious. Put PERSON instead of RELIC and you get the idea.

  5. Comprare reliquie è proibito dal Codice di Diritto Canonico. There is the "scomunica".

  6. It is forbidden for Catholics to sell relics: it is the sin of simony. This Catholic seller has already been warned, and continues to hawk relics. US$425 for this reliquary? It's probably worth only about $60. The seller is clearly trying to make a buck off the body of a saint: pray for his immortal soul, lest it be damned.

  7. For a relic in Rome a donation of 20 euro is usually asked for.

What is expensive is the reliquary; in Rome that same reliquary would run for between 300-400 euro or more (yes, it is outrageous).

The asking price seems okay to me.
