Rome's Best Watercolor Artist: Elena Lugovska

Elena is really talented with watercolors.

She is from Lativa, speaks English and does fine work (and has generous prices).

She used to sell her works on Ponte S. Angelo, but now can be found in Piazza Navona most any morning or Ponte Milvio.

  1. Most prints in P. Navona are not true watercolours.

  2. I purchased a watercolor from Elena in 1999, and believe it to be a "true watercolor." When I first noticed this piece of art, I knew I had to purchase it to remember Piazza Navona. She is an exceptional artist!

  5. I just bought one of her watercolors at an estate sale. It's of a Roman soldier -- in uniform and on a horse. looking forward to enjoying it in my home.

  6. I have also just visited Rome and found her selling her pictures on a side street near Piazza Navona - we brought four. I originally thought that she was selling prints.

  7. I too have a few watercolours by Elena Lugovska. I bought them in Rome on my honeymoon and have cherished them ever since. I too am an artist and know how difficult watercolour techniques are. I am in Squamish Canada and there are a lot of talented artists here too, but I am so happy to have found some internet presence for Elena. She is a magnificent artist and here work should sell for ten times what it does. Amazing tiny detail and immaculate perspective. I am a huge fan and would love to meet her again some day. She can contact me through artelements.ca
