    Is there no place for the Paschal Candle in the Extraordinary Form as there is in the Ordinary Form?

    Yes, however in the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite, the Paschal Candle is placed near the coffin as a reminder of Baptism, hope in the Resurrection of the Body, etc.

    Only redundant because the pall over the coffin is the reminder of baptism, clothed in Christ in new life, hope in the resurrection of the body, etc.
