Funny how bitterly ironic how one man-- John Paul I during his incredibly short reign brought about what appears to be the end of the utilization of the Papal Tiara. In this way, he made a monumental contribution to the loss of the historic connection of the modern church to one of the great symbols of all prior Roman Catholic history.
