  3. What Order of priests are these? Most of them are young, and by their dress in surplice and stole (and not in the Protestant style alb and stole , they look truely Catholic.
I don't see the traditional cord, so I know they are not Franciscans.
Are they Discalced Augustinians, Recollect Augustinians, Benedictines....or a newer Order we don't hear about very often.

I'm disappointed Cardinal Bartolucci didn't weak the cappa magna.

  4. He looks alittle younger that the ailing, aging nearly 70 yr. old discredited Piero Marini does!

If I'm not mistaken, this MC was one of a handful in the Vatican who have a traditionalist leaning and didn't appreciate their old boss Piero Marini's novelties.

I think I am right...but maybe not. Maybe wrong priest.

  5. Marini? You are nuts! He is Monsignor Francesco Camaldo and he looks nothing like Marini. Scary? For crying out loud, he is even dress in a pre-Vatican II rochet.

  6. Marcos, I disagree, the former Papal MC (to my knowledge anyway) never wore a lace surplice ;). And anonymous, well said!

  7. Green stoles? Why do they not wear white or gold?

  8. And why should they use white or gold stoles? Ordinary time=green. Some people are just never content, unlike Jessica who is always so very happy

  9. Is the MC just wearing a rochet? You see the cuffs. It looks strange to me with no mozetta/mantellone or or surplice or anything on top of the rochet. Is that a bit strange to anyone else?
