Ottawa: The Catholic Politician

Meet Wilfrid Laurier, buried in the Catholic cemetery of Ottawa, the capital of Canada.

He goes down in history as one of the great prime ministers of Canada and he was the first Catholic French-Canadian to hold the office.

We need more warriors like this today. Faithful Catholics: go into law and politics!

  1. The Chateau-Laurier Hotel in Ottawa (next door to the Parliament Building) is named for him. I stayed in that hotel with my parents and my twin sister in 1970, on our first visit to Canada.
