All Hallows Eve - kids dressed as saints. Here is "Agnes", the lamb. This is the way it's done, parents and pastors.

  1. hey, an undeserved favour!
Ive been commenting all over the place about canadian, well somewhere in canada, catholic kids, on a reference I lost (4moves in 7 years) Contemporary and probably BEFORE Usa "halloween" 1910-20 say, were not only Costumed as Saints , but also,at sort of partytype affairs(barns, schoolrooms) rather like a nativity play, had multiple little playlets of their lives and deaths, most especially martyrdoms, temptings by the devil, glorious welcome in heaven......
My cousins and other canadian connections have found nothing- if you should just hear of anything.......
I know a hundred yrs or so ago in America is stoneage, but....

God bless and thanks for yr blog anyway. It's refreshing!
