World Revolution in the Vatican: 1960s Change

Must have seemed like the world was ending.

1968, 1969, 1970. It has been a tough epoch.

Too much, too soon if you ask yours truly.

Evidently, it was in hopes of getting on better with the modern world (like that really worked).

In any event, this document came from the Secretary of State, which seems a bit out of place.

External ecclesiastical life, seen today, still suffers from these changes.

Before you start taking down fences, first ask why they were put up.

Would be nice if the watered-silk ferraiolone was still obligatory for papal audiences and those ceremonies held with the Supreme Pontiff present.
