Buried With Arms on Front and Back of Chasuble or Backwards Chasuble?

Interesting to see his episcopal coat-of-arms without being crowned with tiara and crossed keys.

On the maniple can be seen a little sailing vessel with the chi-rho on the sail (the prophecy of St. Malachy for this pope was Pastor et Nauta).

  1. That's his papal coat of arms, isn't it?

  2. That's the Roncalli tower on the front of that chasuble. It's Pope John's arms

  3. Lo stemma non è nella parte anteriore, è nella parte posteriore. La pianeta venne fatta indossare a rovescio in modo da permettere di vederlo.

  4. Pure nonsense. Arms of Sotto il Monte, red chasuble gifted to Patriarch Roncalli by his village, with the Cardinal's arms on the back and the village's at the front.

  6. To even suggest that Enrico Dante would permit the Vicar of Christ to be buried with the chasble turned backwards is silly.
