Rome Wine: What Romans Drink in the Eternal City

Fontana di Papa from Ariccia, just near the papal summer villa south of Rome.

A superb quality wine which derives from the Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes.

A soft, dry, fruity white wine with a fresh, clean taste.  Lots of sulfites.  Ideal with starter, grilled chicken, seafood, or light pasta dishes.

Serve chilled.  To each his own, but yours truly prefers his served on the rocks, with ice.
